On 27 Aug 1759 John Freeman deeded 100 acres to Edward Freeman for 5 shillings. The land was on the North Side of Maherrin River. Witnesses were William Cryer, Francis Young and H. Williams. (Brunswick Co., VA Deed Book 6 page 392).
On 29 Jun 1762 Edward Freeman and Sarah his wife deeded 50 acres to John Robinson for 20 pounds. The land was on the north side of Meherrin River. Edward and Sarah both signed with a mark. (Brunswick Co., VA Deed Book 7 page 136).
On 21 Nov 1790 Edward Freeman deeded 100 acres to John Burnitt for 21 pounds, 5 shillings. The land was on south side of Meherrin River. Witnessed by Daniel Harrison, Hermon Harrison and Lewis Jackson. Edward Freeman signed with a mark. His wife Sarah wasn't mentioned, perhaps she had died before then.
