Is there any direct proof that Daniel Dugger is a son of Joel and Hester?
On 6 Jun 1836 Daniel Duggar married Matilda Whaley in Carter Co., TN.
I wasn't able to find them on the 1840 census.
They were in McMinn Co., TN for the 1850 census, but listed as Charles Dugger for some reason. Perhaps Charles is his middle name, or perhaps this is just a mistake.
