Sarah Dugger was born before ca 1765 in Surry or Brunswick Co, VA. Sarah married William Shell prior to 1786 in Brunswick Co, VA.
I don't have a complete record of William and Sarah Shell yet, but she was named in her father's Will (1805) as daughter "Sarah Shell"
On 15 Oct 1819 Sarah Shell, widow & relict of William Shell, deceased, John B. Shell, Nancy Shell, Thomas Carroll & wife Rebecca, Richard Shell and wife Rebecca, deeded property to Richmond Dugger. (Brunswick Co., VA Deed Book 24 page 384, shared by Greta Braswell)
In 1845 the heirs of James Dugger (Sarah's brother) were named in a Brunswick Co, VA Deed. This included John B. Shell, Ann Shell and Rebecca Carroll, heirs and children of Sarah Shell (as well as others named) (Brunswick Co, VA Deed Book 34 page 51).
Their children John B. Shell and Rebecca Shell Carroll were found in Brunswick Co, VA in 1850.
Note: I used to have Sarah's husband listed as "Lemon" Shell. He existed, and had a wife named Sarah, but he isn't Sarah Dugger's husband. (Thanks to Greta Braswell and Larry Schell for sharing Shell research with me.)
